Hey you,

Have you slept better? Have you written your To-Do list yesterday? Have you written your Ta-Da list yesterday?

Shall we do it together?

xxxxxxxxxx

It was not a very good day… I was getting emotional and cried more that I would want to admit.

I’m learning to process my negative feelings. It’s hard. I used to showed them away for later. And later became later and later… until it caught up with me last year.

Let’s make today’s To-Do list:

What have I achieved so far?

- morning routine

- morning writing - more night writing

- Let’s get to clean the house!

You are doing great, sweetie… just one more thing to cross of your To-Do list!

For those of you guys trying to support your emotional, depressed friend, partner, family member… You are doing great too! I’m very grateful for that!

Here are few reminders:

  • Don’t tell us to cheer up

  • Do't tell us to just deal with

  • Don’t tell us to smile

  • Don't tell us to move on

  • Don’t give us some “happy as it is” motivational bullshit!

  • Let us move at our own speed

  • Let us grieve for as long as we need (no matter whether we lost someone or we are grieving people who walked away without an explanation)

  • Tell us you love us

  • Tell us we are doing great job when your really think that

  • Tell us you are proud of us

and IF we start talking to you,

  • LET US talk

  • DON’T OFFER ways out

  • DON’T OFFER to solve the one thing we told you about

  • SHUT UP and LISTEN TO US!!!!

  • We need to let it first out… step by step…

  • When we stay quiet fro too long, HUG US (if you are sure we want to be hugged by you…)

  • Tell us you are here for us if we need anything... AND BE THERE FOR US WHEN WE NEED YOU!!!!!

!!!! Please, be aware that some of us (like me) won’t ask for help!!!!

I personally don’t know how to… and in the past when I asked for help from the 2 men I loved, they never made time for me…

So, please, OFFER HELP ONLY IF YOU REALLY MEAN IT!!!!

xxxxxx

Dear R

I never learnt how to ask for help… and I never asked for help when I really needed it…

Me begging you to stay when I needed you was one of the scariest things in my life…

As I'm reviewing this, I'm trying to see if I learned something over the last year. If I've got better.
